Learning the Future of Learning & Teaching
SQUAREAs part of the laying of the foundation stone of the HSG Learning Center at the end of May 2020, the HSG Foundation conducted a tour of the construction site. During this tour, Prof. Peter Leibfried, Vice-Rector of Studies & Teaching, will provide information about the didactic concept and how the HSG intends to shape the future of learning and teaching.
The HSG Learning Center is intended to focus less on professional learning and more on learning necessary skills such as critical, analytical thinking and self-reflection. The basic didactic concept developed in 2017 will be expanded into an operational concept by the time it goes into operation in 2022. A working group consisting of internal and external experts will develop a strong content program by the time the HSG Learning Center opens. As the Rectorate’s representative, Dr. Dominik Isler has taken over the management of the HSG Learning Center as of June 1, 2020. He is very pleased “as curator and catalyst in this important project to move mountains!
The Corona crisis has shown that a place of learning is needed. The HSG wants to remain a presence university and, with the HSG Learning Center, offer an innovative place of thinking and working that enables new ways of learning and interaction between students, teachers and people from the world of practice.
