“licence to operate”

SQUARE

Dominik Isler, who was assigned the intendance of the HSG Learning Center by the Rector’s office, has held his new office since the beginning of June 2020. For him, the HSG Learning Center is an experimental field, base camp, School of Experience and secret recipe of St. Gallen.

Starting in spring 2022, when the HSG Learning Center is put into operation, it will serve the HSG as a field for experimentation. A place where new things can be tried and tested. It will also serve as a base camp for the alumni community. A meeting zone that offers space for the exchange between generations and lifelong learning.

For the students, the HSG Learning Center will function as a School of Experience. The program places the graduates’ skills at the center of their education. They are to be given the “license to operate” so that they are able to assume responsibility in business and society after their studies.

The secret recipe of St. Gallen involves combining “one’s own origins and characteristic strengths with some groundbreaking ideas and entrepreneurial courage”.

“I am looking forward to move mountains in this important project, as a curator and catalyst”
